Immersion Island is seeking dynamic, outgoing and personable counselors and other staff for the 2019 season. We are looking for passionate driven team members with native or near-native Spanish or French speaking ability. (International is beneficial). Also, a sense of humor and fun, out-going personality is a big PLUS! Small Group Leaders
Small group leaders are needed for after school and other enrichment groups for children and adults. Candidates need experience in leading and teaching small groups in Spanish or French and should be dynamic and energetic, make learning fun and have experience working with kids. Native or near-native ability in the language is required and international experience helpful. Must be available to travel to site for one-hour sessions.
Senior Counselors
Native or near-native ability speaking skills in Spanish and/or French is required as well as international experience. Senior counselors need experience in leading and teaching small groups in Spanish or French and should be dynamic and energetic, make learning fun and have experience working with kids. Also applicants should enjoy leading games, song and other camp activities.
Junior Counselors
Junior counselors should have experience in leading and assisting with games, song, craft and other camp activities with a highly proficient level of Spanish or French. Counselors must be fun, energetic and not afraid to make a fool of themselves! Previous camp counselor experience is helpful.
Cook
Part-time (4 hours per day) opportunity for day camps and full-time (8 hours per day) opportunity for several weeks of overnight camps. Should have experience in cooking for groups of 20 or more and comfortable interacting with campers and talking about foods and food preparation. Proficiency in French and/or Spanish.
