Campers who attended La Isla de Inmersión, our inaugural Spanish camp in the fall had a fantastic time. We used the facilities we will use for this summer’s Spanish camps, Camp New Hope in Chapel Hill. Activities included song, dance, camp fire, “Mexican S’mores,” food preparation, games, fiesta, crafts, conversation groups, shopping and more!
There were students from several different schools but they all made friends immediately. Here are some quotes from the fall campers:
” It’s just as fun as regular summer camp but it gives you the chance to learn more Spanish at the same time!” — K
“A great way to not only learn vocabulary, but to speak and interact with others who are speaking Spanish.” — V
“The camp was an amazing experience. I had a great time with the cooking, camp fire and other activities.” — A
“I had so much fun. The food was delicious and I loved all the activities.” — L
